Soap Making Business Enterprise in Stonehaven

forestviewIn 2012 our Accredited ASDAN Business Enterprise Group came up with a business plan to make and sell soaps in our service and offer them to our local community.

NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR A NEW COMMUNITY COUNCIL FOR STONEHAVEN & DISTRICT

Stonehaven and District Community Council  was disbanded at the AGM in April after 10 members left. Efforts are being made to re-establish it, led by Willie Munro, Aberdeenshire Council  Area Manager.

The way forward is to have an election which requires 20 people to put themselves forward.

Being on the Community Council does not have to involve hours of work and it is an important part of the community. Participation is rewarding and appreciated.

K&M Transport Futures Forum

The K&M Transport Futures Forum is a new, high-reaching transport initiative rooted in communities. This exciting new project is being supported by a range of partners to allow a collective, global approach to local transport solutions.  Bringing together public, private, voluntary sectors with the community, it will be a forum open to anyone with interests and ideas on transport and travel in Kincardine & Mearns.

The first session will focus on generating a vision for the future of transport in K&M.  During the second and third sessions we will start to brainstorm the first steps needed to take us there.  A steering group for the forum will be recruited from among attendees allowing the direction and activity to be guided by a range of skills and backgrounds.

The LAUNCH SESSION is on THURSDAY 29 MAY 2014 6pm – 8pm at Forest View Centre, Woodside Place, Stonehaven AB39 2TD
