The K&M Community Plan is a plan for everybody in Kincardine and Mearns and will run until 2022. It sets out what we will do together to make our area a better place in the future.
Organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors have come together to develop the plan. The following bodies sit on the Community Planning Partnership:
|Area Manager||Aberdeenshire Council (Chair)|
|Area Committee Representative||Aberdeenshire Council|
|Area Manager||NHS Grampian|
|Public Health Co-Ordinator||NHS Grampian|
|Development Officer||Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action|
|Area Inspector||Police Scotland|
|Station Manager||Scottish Fire and Rescue Service|
|Third Sector Representative|
|Development Officer||Kincardineshire Development Partnership|
|Committee Representative||Kincardineshire Development Partnership|
|Committee Representative||Mearns Area Partnership|
|Stonehaven & Lower Deeside CC Representative||Stonehaven & District CC|
|North Kincardine CC Representative||Vacancy|
|Mearns CC Representative||Mearns CC|
|Senior CLD Worker||Aberdeenshire Council|
|Community Planning Officers||Aberdeenshire Council|
Other public bodies who work in Kincardine and Mearns have also come together to contribute to the plan.
The plan sets out what we will do over a 2 year period. This is important because we must plan ahead to prevent the problems and rise to the opportunities of the future. With resources stretched in the years ahead, it is important that organisations work together and not apart. By working jointly, we can target our shared resources to where the need is greatest.
What will we do?
We have 2 local priorities that were identified as important for the people of Kincardine and Mearns. We gathered evidence and carried out research with communities and partners to identify these priorities.
2 local priorities:
- Community Connections and Wellbeing
- Strong and Resilient Communities
More information on each of these priorities can be found in the sub-menu of the Community Plan.
