The volunteer drop in surgery will provide an accessible service resource for local people with an interest in volunteering.

Volunteering can help:

  • improve skills,
  • increase confidence
  • increase access to information and awareness of opportunities
  • reduce isolation, and,
  • increase employability

If you have an interest in volunteering or are thinking of getting involved then come along to the Volunteer Surgery where you can get help and advice about all aspects of volunteering, carry out volunteering opportunity searches, get advice about volunteering and claiming benefits, information on various awards available, and much more on anything to do with volunteering.

Monday 19th May – IT Session – advice on how to use the computer to access volunteering, register for awards on line, how to use facebook and general IT advice etc.

Monday 2nd June – CAB Session – Citizens Advice Bureau, Stonehaven will be coming along to give advice on various issues regarding volunteering, e.g how volunteering may effect your benefits, or DLA, and also telling you how you could get involved volunteering for CAB.
