Community spirit celebrated at special strawberry tea…
Stonehaven Community Centre celebrated their Volunteers by having a Strawberry Tea on Wed 13 June where over 50 volunteers were invited.
Leslie Murison, Senior Community Learning worker on behalf of all her staff expressed her pleasure and gratitude that so many are willing to devote to helping others in the community by volunteering their services. Many activities that are essential to the life of this community centre simply could not take place without the assistance rendered so fully and so selflessly by our many volunteers.
Valerie Cameron, Development Officer at Aberdeenshire Volunteers Centre was invited to present certificates congratulating volunteers on their length of service – there were 4 certificates awarded for 10 years, 2 for 15 years and 2 lifetime awards acknowledging over 20 years of service!
