Would you like to get more from your K&M Communities website? We’re working hard to make sure you do!  Read on to find out more!

From august 2014, we are launching monthly topics and will be searching out more of you to contribute on that topic.

Competition + Comment = Local Conversations Worth Having

We’ll also be hosting monthly competitions related to that topic! We hope that by holding these competitions, we’ll be encouraging more of you to visit and leave comments here on the blog and on Facebook and Twitter.  It will be when this happens that we think K&M communities will become a place that generates ideas, action and local conversations worth having! #timeforsomethingnew

Be Active for August

Tomorrow will see the launch of the first month’s topic – Be Active for August!

With the Commonwealth Games bringing a buzz to Glasgow and beyond and World Cup fever still in our memories, we thought ‘Be Active’ was a great first topic for August.

We’ll have blogs from a variety of local sports clubs letting us know what they are up to and how you can get involved.  We’ll also be hearing from some of the sport and leisure facilities in the area.

However, getting active is not all about breaking a sweat, there are plenty of gentler activities that are great for your health and wellbeing.  Among others, we’ll be hearing from Kincardine & Mearns Public Health Co-ordinator on the benefits of plain old walking!

In August’s competition we’ll be asking you to post your best photos capturing the spirit of getting active in the area to our Facebook page –

Keep an eye out here and on Facebook tomorrow for the launch of the competition and find out what you could win!  We look forward to seeing your photos and reading your comments!
