Tullo/Twinshiels Community Benefit Fund
A reminder to all groups in the area of Arbuthnott, Benholm and Johnshaven, Gourdon, Inverbervie, Mearns and St Cyrus Community Councils that now is the time to apply to the Tullo/Twinshiels Community Benefit Fund.
The fund is likely to be in the region of £140,000 this year, full amount will be advised once index linking has been applied.
The aim of the fund is to support projects that make a difference to life in, and seek improvement in, the local community.
We are keen to support community and voluntary organisations that are charitable, educational, philanthropic or benevolent in purpose. You do not have to be a registered charity to apply for funding but you do have to be able to demonstrate real community impetus and benefits.
You need to be a constituted group with a bank account.
The fund cannot support:
- Salary other than start up for one year only.
- Projects that are funded by the local authority or other statutory bodies.
- Projects that are funded by the local authority or other statutory bodies
- Improvements to land that is not open to the general public
- Sponsorships
- Projects promoting political activities
- Deficit or retrospective funding

A panel comprising members of Arbuthnott, Benholm and Johnshaven, Gourdon, Inverbervie, Mearns and St Cyrus Community Councils plus one rep from MAP and KDP meet in March to award the funds.
