Your Voice Your Choice Drop-in Sessions

The Participatory Budgeting initiative is aimed at improving health, wellbeing and community connectedness in the Mearns coastal villages of Inverbervie, Gourdon, Johnshaven, Benholm and St Cyrus. Groups and individuals interested in applying for a share of the £30k funding are warmly invited to come along to informal drop-in sessions to find out more. These will run from 10am – 1pm then 7pm -9pm as follows:

Monday 8th May – St Cyrus Hall

Tuesday 9th May – Harbour Bar, Gourdon

Mill of Benholm Open Event

The Friends of the Mill of Benholm are holding an Open Afternoon on Saturday 20th August from 2-5 pm at the Mill.  mill of benholm

The mill wheel will be turning and there will be a range of family friendly activities, supported by local community groups; from mini beast hunts to craft and first aid demonstrations, face painting, forest school and eco activities, mindfulness sessions and more !

There will also be the chance to meet the architect and business consultant that are conducting the feasibility study and find out more about potential ideas for the Mill’s future.

The “Friends” will be serving cream teas and all of the activities are FREE … All Welcome.

They are working with a team of consultants on a feasibility study looking at the future of the Mill.

This is your chance to have your say and the more responses to the Survey Monkey link below the better, so please try and find 5 minutes to complete the survey and please forward the link on to anyone else that you think might be interested.

A public meeting is being held at Johnshaven Village Hall at 7pm on Wednesday 15th June where there will be the chance to explore different ideas for the Mill … this is another important opportunity for the community to get involved so please put the date in your diary.mill of benholm1
