Priority 2 Transport – 3rd review
Partners and local residents are working together to identify issues and opportunities and improve upon transport in a coordinated way.
2.1 Develop and support a Transport Futures Forum in K&M
2.2 Aberdeenshire Council led review of public transport to improve delivery of public transport options to necessary services and facilities
2.3 Promote the new Transport to Health Information Centre (THInC)
2.4 Community partners in Stonehaven involved in a review of Aberdeenshire Council’s policy for car parking charges in the town.

Aberdeenshire Council is resourcing the review of public transport and the facilitation of K&M Transport Needs Forum and engaging involvement of partners.
Progress & Results:
2.1 The second Transport Futures Forum has been delayed until early 2015 to coincide with engagement towards developing Portlethen as an Integrated Transport Town.
2.2 A review of transport procurement for 2015 has been completed and the wider transport network review is ongoing.
2.3 An evaluation of the THInC was reported to the Health & Transport Action Plan Steering Group in September 2014 and the Group agreed to continue the project subject a number of developments.
2.4 Following well received engagement, the implementation of car parking changes in Stonehaven was delayed until December 2014 and an agreement was made that all parking will be free on the four Saturdays leading up to Christmas.
Work is continuing for all of these actions and further progress is requested regularly by the Community Planning Group.
