We will work together to develop digital and social media platforms that can support us to better to meet the needs of our communities. 

 

Action 1
The K&M Communities Facebook Page will be developed and promoted among communities and partners as a means of engagement and sharing information.
Who
CPG, CLD, Community Planning Officers, Private/Creative sector, Academies/Colleges, Local community/voluntary projects & partnerships as appropriate.
When
1. Establish Page and recruitment drive for Community Forums – Sept 2013
2. Identify & develop content and scheduling strategy – March 2014
3. Raise profile & build Facebook network – May 2014
4. Develop a partnership administration group for the page – June 2014
5. Maintain, monitor & develop page use 2014-16
Action Progress
Funding secured to advertise page, campaign lasted 15 days generating a lot of interest. Community Planning Officers are administering the page and making plans to recruit a partnership admin group in 2014.  We are monitoring the success of various types of information and interacting with other users and local pages to raise the profile & build the network. Promotional materials being used to promote page offline
Success against Outcome
Advertising campaign:
– 767,926 Impressions (the number of times the ad was viewed)
– 358 Clicks
– 104 Actions (the number of actions taken on the ad after someone saw it)

The page has a steady increase of traffic.  24/10/13: 121 likes.  Posts reach on average 50 people, with a maximum so far of 329. Page linked & interacting with 45 local organisations.

Action 2
A review of local online and traditional engagement and information sharing will be commissioned by the Community Planning Group.  A local partnership group will then be assembled to consider and take forward recommendations.

Action Progress
A brief has been produced and companies have been invited to respond and quote for the work.
The review was initially planned for end March 2013 but the commissioned work was not received.
